Meet Murray the Mower, and help him on his task of cutting the looniest of lawns that no other sensible mower is willing to tackle. Murray will be faced with lawns in everything from a simple suburbia to a perilous paradise ,and everything in between. All the while zombies, aliens, spiders, and much more try to make Murray fail in his mission.

Loony Lawns is spread across 60 levels that can be played in 2 different modes. First there is Arcade mode where you must hurry to cut all the grass in the level before your fuel completely drains. Then there is Puzzle mode where every move you make counts as each section of grass cut reduces Murray's fuel count, and it doubles if you run over previously cut grass.

Lastly the game is not just a single player affair as 2 players can take on the roles of Murray, and his girlfriend Molly, as they battle for dominance across 10 Battle Lawns. Murray's job is to cut as much grass as he can in the time limit to score points while Molly's job is to plant as many flowers as she can to score points. The winner is whomever has the most points at the end of the round.

Loony Lawns is meant to evoke the spirit of simple NES games of yesteryear with its NES style pixel art, and chiptune soundtrack. Just like those games of yore the controls are super simple to master as everything is controlled solely by the Directional Pad, but don't let that make you think the game is simple to master.
